New Year 2025 | Creating Systems and Building Habits to Achieve Goals

HAPPY NEW YEAR | SYSTEMS OVER FEELINGS

The goal of this year is to GROW.

As I've been reflecting on my personal and professional goals for 2025, I've been thinking a lot about how I can maintain growth throughout the year while it seems like the world is falling apart around us! In order to do so, I've committed to breaking down each one of my goals into a set of daily habits that will, overtime, contribute to success.

For example, I have a goal to read 15 books this year, and thus my daily habit includes reading 15 pages a day. That means each day, no matter what I find a time to crack open a book and get to reading, this usually happens on my commute to the gym!

By breaking down my goals into this system of habits, that means that I don't have to think or consider my feelings. I know that everyday, no matter what, I follow a set of habits—like an algorithm. In doing so, I not only ensure that I achieve my goals, but I know that I don't have to worry about endless planning, questioning or doubting as to whether or not I'm making the right choices.
